Enjoyed reading about someone living their dream. I had hoped to buy a boat when I retired but the wife had other ideas and the boat turned into a caravan. A few years later and it became a Motorhome which gives me plenty of freedom. But! I still have the nagging thought in the back of my mind, the dream, " a boat ". Thanks for the blog enjoyed the read.

Well, essentially, the Stag per se is a huge boat for a 28 footer. The one on ebay Needs a LOT of work. i.e. rip it all out to bare hull and start again. That said, a 28 foot hull and engine for that price is peanuts.

It's a small world.

I almost bought Pirimela myself a few years ago, just a few months before the unfortunate accident. I live in Chorley, and drove up to Anglesey to see her.

I took her for a 'test sail' around the harbour, and she was a bit sluggish - needing some TLC. Still a lovely layout for a small yacht.

Sadly I'm still without a yacht and still looking. I see Kudu is up for sale, although above my savings at present.

Anyway - I look forward to reading more of your sailing blogs.

Amazing little story. I'm planning on getting a Corribee myself. I currently own a Shetland 535, but I want to go sailing - so it's time to cut her loose.

I enjoyed reading your blog. Keep up the good work!

Well done, contemplating the same idea my-self, after some similar circumstances and unfortunate bad luck. I wish you all the best.

Sounds like an adventure of the highest nautical degree. How odd that I too have decided to document my adventure through the art of blogging! I've added this to my favourites so I can keep an eye on your progress through "The Adventures of Kudu"

http://cruisingforamusing.blogspot.com/ - visit this to keep an eye on my Melbourne adventure.

Good luck!
