Episode 13: Company

To get a better idea of how I was feeling, it would be worth digging through the sailing log to find the post that documents the departure. I had spent 6 weeks in Wells and made some great friends (whom I’m still in contact with). However, I needed to press on, so once the boat was ready I did, but not without nerves.

Thankfully, I met another single handed sailor on the pontoons, and we agreed to sail together for the trip to Grimsby. He was in a 26ft Stella class wooden boat.

A very early start proved itself worthwhile as I experienced a humbling sunrise in the North Sea.

The original plan took on a big change as we altered course, only to find that a great days sailing wasn’t going to let us off so easily.
